Nook Handyman is a home repair business based in Alpharetta, Georgia. This page explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how to get it removed. Plain language, no lawyer voice.
What we collect
Only what you type into the request form. That's:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- The street address of the home we’re visiting, and its ZIP code
- The job types you ticked, what you wrote about the work, and the date and arrival window you chose
- Anything you write in the notes field — gate codes, pets, parking
We don't run analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers on this site, and we don't set cookies. If you only browse the page and never submit the form, we don't collect anything about you.
A note on gate codes and entry instructions. If you give us door codes or key locations, treat the notes field the way you'd treat a text message — it's sent by email and stored with your booking. We only share entry details with the handymen assigned to your home.
Why we collect it
To arrange your free visit, quote the work, get your handyman to the right door at the right time, and follow up afterwards. We use your email and phone to confirm appointments, send reminders, and reach you if something changes. We do not sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone outside the people who need it to do your job.
Who else touches it
- Our form provider. Requests are delivered to our inbox through a form-handling service, which stores the submission on our behalf.
- Our scheduling software. Confirmed visits and jobs are kept in the field-service platform we use to run the schedule and send confirmations.
- Google. If the address field suggests addresses as you type, that text is sent to Google's Places API to generate suggestions, under Google's privacy policy.
- Our handymen. Your address, entry instructions and any notes relevant to the job.
How long we keep it
Job and customer records are kept while you're a customer and for as long afterwards as we need them for tax and accounting purposes. Visit requests that never became jobs are cleared out once they're clearly stale.
Your choices
Email team@neednook.com and we'll tell you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete it. Deleting your record means we can't keep working on your home, so we'll confirm before we do it. You can opt out of reminders and marketing at any time by replying to any message from us.
Children
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
